Conquered - Weligama & Mirissa on a Kite!

The South of Sri Lanka certainly has pretty beaches - the best however must be Mirissa. It sure looked like something out a picture postcard. However, if wind is added into the formula... WIND + Mirissa = HEAVEN! The best experience kitesurfing experience thus far. Crystal blue water, scenic location - rocks, greenary and sandy beaches... oh and not to forget the chance of kiting with the Whales! Ok, I was'nt that lucky.

What do Kiters do when there is no wind? We go surfing! Man, we sure live in Paradise! Tiziano (our Italian Kiter) welcome to Sri Lanka. Hope you have a blast tomorrow up north.

When there's no wind, what do kitesurfers do? Well, they go surfing! Its funny how Sri Lanka has soooooo much water and beautiful oceans and not many know how to swim! Anyway, the kiters now turned surfers will surf until the winds are back. We must admit, surfing is pretty cool too. Pretty cool, not as cool as kitesurfing though.
