i'll tell you what, i was in weligama last week it was well over 20 knts, gusts at over 25, it was Nukin'!!!! sailed at mach 4 for a couple of hours and had to stop!! i was knackered! i know a couple of great places there, the bay is wide and sandy, easy access and if the clouds stay away it should be windy. it's not too choppy close to shore, gets more choppy as you go further from the beach. the two places are the surf factory, cheap and friendly,just afeter weligama town, the other is a new 5 star called mandara, managed by a mate of mine. no problems either way. how about it? i would also be able to come as i work evenings...that is with my windsurfing gear, lol!
i wouldnt' advise koggala, it's not windy enough that side, crocs in the lagoon, airforce base might also be a pain in the a****.
what do you say? let me know...
kirinda is FAR....for me anyway, lol!

mischi also says weligama is nice. tempted but at least for me i know i can as i have an exam on sunday. the next week heading to kalpitiya again. mischi and all are going to kalpitiya as well this weekend. i think it might only be marcel doing the south coast.

hey jean,
weligama/ hikkaduwa is good. its season from January. 12m or bigger kite would be fine. on the other side of the island in kalpitiya the wind would be stronger....20knot at times or more....
