We just had to wait 3 days into the year and the winds picked up on the 3rd of January 2010. A fun session with 18 knot winds just outside the Mount Lavinia Hotel Area. Marco, marvelled the crowd with his 360's and jumps, Julian had a painful start to his season, his 10M had a patch and could not be launched, his 14M was too big for the wind conditions and once he did go out on Dil's 10M kite, the winds died down and he was stranded in the middle of the ocean! 2010, is bound to be an eventful year for the kitesurfers of Sri Lanka. Jaffna, here we come!

Hey i am a kiitesurfer from israel, i want to visit sri lanka and i would like to get some info about kitesurfing there. things like wind seasons, spots, waves(?) and anything else about surfing...
